What We Do
All things PhySoc
We meet once a week for our informal mixers, and arrange something special for you all every other week. Keep an eye on our Facebook page to keep up to date with whats happening.
The Physics Society are focused on employability, and one way we like to make you employable is through our Science and Careers Fayre. Held once annually, check your emails for more information.
We host both internal and external speakers every Tuesday and Thursday, with IOP lectures being held once a month. Our OutReach collaboration talks are not to be missed!
We put a lot of work into giving back to the university and to the community through our philanthropic efforts. 2015 saw us raising awareness for LGBT students within the school of physical sciences, and it even made its way into the UKC newspaper, InQuire.
Last year we went to Europe for the first time as a society. Visiting CERN was an amazing experience and our stay in Geneva was fantastic. Trips around the UK and abroad are once again going to be a thing within the society with us looking gleefully forward to our future trip to Berlin of which details will soon be announced.
